Kawagoe Town川越
Kawagoe Town is widely known as a tourist destination called "Little Edo" where you can enjoy the retro streets of Japan. Its main street retains an ambiance reminiscent of the Edo Period (1603-1867) and allows visitors to imagine the streets from past centuries. Edo is the former name of present Tokyo, and since Japan was isolated at that time, there was almost no influence from overseas and Japan's unique culture flourished. There are many famous sightseeing spots such as Tokino Kane (time bell tower)and the townscape of Kurazukuri (storehouse built with earthen-wall building style). It is also a gourmet spot known for its "Kashiya Yokocho" lined with sweets and the famous eel, so you can spend a fulfilling time walking around and eating. You can also rent a traditional Japanese yukata and stroll around the city, so you can make good memories of your trip.
