Fukiage Cosmos Garden吹上コスモス畑
The Fukiage Cosmos Garden is located on the vast site of the Arakawa Riverbed around fukiage in Saitama Prefecture, and is one of the largest in the Tokyo metropolitan area, with about 12 million cosmos in full bloom. The red and pink poppies and the bright yellow California poppies are beautiful. Overlooking the vast riverbed from here, you can enjoy a spectacular view of poppies in the spring and the cosmos in the fall. In the background is the longest aqueduct in Japan, the mountains of Chichibu, and the male figure of Mt. Fuji on a clear day. It's a superb view. There is also a maze of flowers, making it a place where children can fully enjoy themselves. Each year to mark the blooming of 12,000,000 cosmos in the Arawaka riverbed area of Konosu City there is a 2 day festival near the flower fields. It is during this period that you are allowed to walk on the water pipe bridge (weather permitting) between the hours of 9.30 am and 3 pm.
