Fuji no Saku Okaふじの咲く丘
"Fuji" (wisteria) was qualified as a flower in Fujioka City in 1979. The park with the theme of wisteria is "Fuji no Saku Oka". There are 250m long wisteria trellis in the garden of about 2.3ha. The wisterias look like a super-large chandelier. If you walk under the wisteria trellis, you can enjoy the wisteria flowers pouring down from above while being surrounded by the gentle scent of wisteria. In addition, there is a sample garden where 45 kinds of wisteria are planted, and you can enjoy wisteria flowers of various colors and shapes such as white and pink in addition to purple. It will be lit up during the "Fuji Festival". The festival is held during the blooming season from early April to mid-May and the trellis is beautifully lit up during nighttime. During the peak of the festival, you can buy Fujioka and Wisteria-related goods and even small wisteria vines.
