Sanbe Buried Forest

さんべ縄文の森ミュージアム（三瓶小豆原埋没林公園）

Mt. Sanbe stands in Ooda City, Shimane Prefecture, which lies on the north side of western Japan. It is a dormant volcano, 1,126 meters above sea level, which is covered with rich green now. It was discovered in 1983 and the trees are almost 4,000 years old.
There is a museum that is 15 meters underground.
