Kintaikyo Bridge錦帯橋
"Kintaikyo" is one of the three famous bridges in Japan. Located in Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, it is one of the best wooden bridges in Japan with beautiful five arches. The highlights are the elegant view from the riverbank and the pleasure boat, and the wooden structure that supports the bridge by the traditional construction method.
Kintaikyo Dining Sakura (Pin No.1 on the Town Map) is a restaurant where you can relax and enjoy your meal while looking out at Kintaikyo Bridge. The interior is unified with bright light and calm colors, and has a gorgeous and profound feeling.
The Kashiwabara Art Museum (Pin No. 2 on the Town Map) is famous as an exhibition hall for old armor, which is rare in Japan. It houses about 6,000 items such as ceramics and glass crafts, calligraphic works and paintings, armor, swords, jinbaori, and harnesses from the Nara period (710-784) to the Edo period (1603-1868).
