Motonosumi Shrine元乃隅神社
The Motonosumi Inari Shrine is remotely located along the coast of the Sea of Japan. The 123 bright, red Torri gates are freshly painted and make for a beautiful photo. Incredible place to visit in the evening just before sunset. The contrast of the red Torri gates against the blue sky is more than enough of a reason to visit the shrine. A tall torii gate stands on the top of the shrine grounds, and its upper beam has an offering box about four meters high, which is very unusual. It is said that the person who successfully throws the coin into the box will get good luck. According to CNN in 2017, this shrine is considered to be one of the 36 most beautiful places in Japan.
