Ten root river Traditional District十根川伝建地区
The Shiiba Village is a hidden but ancestral place in Miyazaki prefecture. In 1998, this spot was chosen as an Important Preservation District for Traditional Buildings for the country of Japan. This well-preserved district spreads over almost 40 hectares but counts only 35 buildings, 126 workpieces and 17 houses. There isn’t a lot of better places in Japan to deeply understand the thousands of years old traditions and culture of the country. Visitors can also appreciate the calm and beauty of the nature.
After visiting this place, you can access the Tonegawa Shrine(十根川神社) with "Hachimurasugi Cedar Tree(八村スギ)" from the same parking.
