Ohama Seaside Park大浜海浜公園
Ohama Seaside Park is a grassy park behind a white-sand beach with showers, a cafe, and a scenic walking trail. It makes for a good spot to relax during the day. It offers beautiful scenery of the blue ocean and islands. Ohama Seaside Park is a popular spot for watching the sunset. There is Amami Ocean Exhibition Hall, where water tanks are set up to display various marine life and coral reefs that inhabit the waters near Amami Oshima. There is also a commentary corner that introduces the life of the sea and the islanders. The park also has a relaxation facility called "Thallaso Amami no RYUGU," which has a seawater therapy pool that overlooks the seaside. Ohama Beach is a well-known egg-laying site for loggerhead sea turtles and green sea turtles during the summertime.
Advice:
The experience of feeding sea turtles takes place every 30 minutes. The fee is included in the admission fee.
