Tomori Beach is the closest sandy beach to the airport, about 3km north of Amami Airport. The beauty of the sea is one of the best in Amami, and it is also called the Blue Angel because of its beauty. The emerald green and cobalt blue seas on the white sands are a paradise. In the bright sun, you can relax at the beach, take pictures of the beautiful sea, and have a great time. Swimming in this amazing sea under the hot summer sun refreshes the body and is the perfect activity to beat the summer heat. The white sand and calm, clear waters with corals and aquatic life make this beach great for both sunbathing and snorkeling.

Advice:
The parking lot is a gravel road that is a short distance from Route 601, so please refer to the photos posted.

Even in the seemingly calm sea, there are places where the tide flows rapidly offshore, so when swimming, do not go offshore and stay near the shore.

About 50 minutes by car or 35km from/to Naze Town in the center of Amami Oshima.
About 5 minutes by car or 3km from/to the Amami Airport.

2D1N Routes

If you have 2 days and 1 night, we invite you to explore the suburbs of Fukuoka. You have three main destinations suggested like Kitakyushu/Shionoseki, Takeo/Ureshino and very famous Onsen towns such as Yufuin/Beppu which are worth checking out. It is recommended for travelers who do not dispose of much time but who would not only want to visit Fukuoka City but also other places. However, 2 Days and 1 Night is very limited and we highly recommend to at least choose route with 3 days and 2 nights, or longer if you can. Additionally, it is risky to take a flight or bullet train after returning your car as external environment concerns can happen and can't be predicted. This is why we would advise to stay one night at Fukuoka.
