Northern Culture Museum holds beauty and history. The current building was built in 1889 (the original house was in 1756) by the Ito family and has withstood wind ans snow for many years. This beautiful architecture is now registered as a National Tangible Cultural property.
This museum is equipped with antique artefacts that show culture and history. The splendour of craftsmanship can be seen through the display of lovely ceramics, calligraphy and lacquerware. The staff is friendly and generates informative and quick service.
The beauty and scent of the wisteria garden is fascinating. The garden view from the 100 tatami mat hall is magnificent. There is also a gift shop along with a small eatery at the grounds. The eatery is famous for its handmade soba.
