Mt.Yahikoyama弥彦山
"Mt. Yahiko Yahikoyama is a mountain that is visited often by tourists. The mountain and the surrounding area is recognized as a national park. It is a superb view of the Sea of Japan, and across the sea, you can see Sado Island. On the land side, you can see the Echigo Plain, the granary area of Japan. At the top of the mountain is the panoramic tower, which is a rotating observation deck. At night, you can enjoy the glittering night view of the Echigo Plain, which has been selected as one of Japan's night view heritage sites, and the starry sky.
There are three ways to reach the summit.
[1]Drive the Yahikoyama skyline by car
[2]Use the ""Mt.Yahikoyama Ropeway""
[3]Climbing on foot from Yahiko Shrine (about one and a half hours)

There is an observatory on the roof of the Yahikoyama Observatory Cafeteria, and the view from there is the best, so it is highly recommend.
The distance from Tsubamesanjo Station to the parking lot at the foot of Yahiko Shrine is about 15 km, or about 25 minutes by car."
