
Hoshitoge Rice Terraces星峠の棚田
Hoshitoge Rice Terraces is rice terrace that represents Tokamachi city and is known for its much photographed tiered rice filed. Scaled at approximately 200 terraced rice fields of various sizes, they are spread out on the slope like fish scale surrounding beautiful rural scenery.
The best season to visit is when the water mirror shines; when then rice fields are filled with water. With photographers and tourists visiting from all over, this place is a magnificent spot to visit.

The rice terrace area is not a tourist destination, it is an important farmland owners privately where farmers grow rice.
It is asked not to enter the place where the rope is stretched or the farmland. Cars must be parked in the designated area only and garbage must be taken home.
