For Lots of Lost Windows is a magnificent work of art in a field along the Kiyotsu River near the Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel. The creator Akiko Utsumi was overwhelmed by nature when she visited Tsumari and ideated to design this flower-like work that blooms modestly without generating any harm to nature. The view is seen from a window or a room and it becomes ‘my view’, a window rediscovering the scenery of Echigo-Tsumari spreading outside through the view seen from the window. The waving curtains reflect the breeze and blend in with the wonderful nature and relaxing surroundings. The curtains are parallel with the sunlight and the wind delivered from satoyama (a small hill near the village) to the hearts of the visitors.
