The atmospheric Shounsanso was created in 1926, and it’s famous for its fall colors and foliage. Shounsanso is the former residence of Kenzo Iizuka, the founder of Kashiwazaki Gas Company. This facility has a park covered with beautiful green trees including azaleas and maples, it has artistic stone monuments, Taikobashi a beautiful arched bridge, and ponds in between them. There is also a ‘Kimura Tea Ceremony Museum’ in the park where visitors can enjoy delicious tea served in antique and precious bowls that are on display at the museum. There is also seating outside where visitors can relax, drink tea and enjoy the lovely scenery.
