Cape Koibito Misaki(Lover's Cape)柏崎恋人岬
Cape Koibito Misaki(Lover's Cape) is a heart-studded attraction in Kashiwazaki. It is located on a dramatic cliff, the spot gives you an epic view of the Sea of Japan below. The story behind Lovers’ Cape revolves around a love-sick woman who drowned on one of her nightly risky travels from Sado Island to meet her lover in Kashiwazaki. He, in turn, took his own life. Now, couples praying for undying love come to Lovers’ Cape to secure a successful marriage. It is said that your love will last forever if you attach a padlock on the fence. Kashiwazaki Koibito Misaki is not only a panoramic view of Kashiwazaki's natural beauty, but also a famous spot for fulfilling romance. It is said that if two people attach the plate to the fence installed here, they will be tied together in the future. When you actually go there, you will be surprised to see how many plates are attached to the fence on the sea side. There is a bench with a heart in the back, and lovers take a commemorative photo there. There are also shops selling souvenirs, restaurants and adjacent accommodation.
